De Beekse Toren

• Historical monument on the Vrijthof square

6th attic and spire

The wooden construction of 30m (100 feet) dates from 1615–1621 and is a copy of a predecessor. The construction was made by Symon van der Bilt, the same man who made the barrel shaped roof inside the church.

Four shutters give views beyond Hoogstraten, Breda, ́s-Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven. To the south one looks over the border region of the Brabant and Antwerp Campine. Here, as far as the eye can see, green nature prevails.
